It is the biggest port for oil imports in China and the largest base for oil products loading and unloading, transshipment and storage in the coastal areas of the Chinese mainland. It ranks No 1 in crude oil throughput, accounting for 25 percent of the crude oil unloaded in China.

It provides loading and unloading, storage, transshipment and distribution services for crude oil, finished oil products and liquid chemical products. It can accommodate the largest liquid bulk ship in the world and offers four distribution methods –through pipes, railways, waterways and roads.

With industry-leading comprehensive advantages, it has become one of China's first designated crude oil delivery warehouses and is still the only port in this category.
