Recent data highlights booming tourism in Jiaxing. In the first three quarters of 2024, the city welcomed 264,000 overnight international visits, a remarkable 328.2-percent surge, generating $130 million in tourism revenue.

Vietnamese visitor Mr Chen was captivated by the historical ambiance and modern facilities in Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area, while Dutch tourist Clay Delphy praised its stunning scenery and convenient shopping.

Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area has enhanced its services to cater to international tourists. This includes foreign currency exchange services at seven locations, over 90 merchants accepting foreign credit cards, and four ATMs with VISA or Mastercard logos.

Both Xizha and Dongzha Scenic Areas offer English tour guide services, and some hotels provide bilingual services, with chefs tailoring dishes to guests' preferences.

Xu Hong, deputy general manager of Wuzhen Scenic Sales Company, announced plans to further improve services, including more language-specific signage and multilingual staff. "We welcome people from around the world to experience Wuzhen's charm," she said.

Jiaxing has capitalized on the restoration of international flights, visa-free policies, and inbound tourism facilitation, organizing events to attract tourists and optimize services. Efforts include enhancing tour guide training, improving transportation, and increasing multilingual services to provide a better experience for international visitors.
