Several key projects were signed at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Shaoxing Yushun Culture Inheritance and Development Season in Keqiao district’s Wangtan town, including initiatives in grain farming, youth entrepreneurship, local craft cooperation, and high-end fruit cultivation.

Yushun culture, originating in Shangyu, is a foundational strand of traditional Chinese culture, and Wangtan town has long focused on its preservation and promotion. The town’s Shun Cultural Museum, opened last year, is a key window into Yushun culture, showcasing cultural products such as storybooks. Wangtan has also published picture books on Yushun culture and brought university volunteers into local schools to teach courses on Yushun legends.

Modern agriculture in Wangtan has integrated the Yushun spirit of diligent cultivation, creating the regional brand Wangtan Youhuo. Utilizing its water source advantages, the town has introduced more than 10 large-scale agricultural projects over the past three years, producing specialty products such as selenium-enriched tomatoes, preserved bamboo shoots, and a series of plum wines.

Wangtan has also developed cultural, tourism, and sports industries, cultivated the Shunjiangyuan ecological sports brand, and hosted nearly 100 cycling and off-road events over three years, attracting more than 500,000 visitors.

The town will continue to explore the contemporary value of Shun culture, deeply integrating culture, ecology, and industry.
