According to the document, Lanzhou New Area is going to upgrade facilities, set special funds, roll out preferential and incentive policies to unleash the stimulative role that tourism plays in creating jobs, restructuring industry and improving the city's reputation.

Featuring projects are planned, making enterprises focus on cultural exhibitions on the Silk Road and Yellow River, theme amusement parks, hot spring spa towns, premium plays and shows, and nightly tours.

With building a sunflower sightseeing base and a flower industry base as its central goals, the area will also launch multiple rural tourism products like agricultural produce picking, modern farming research and investigation and eco-leisure activities.

A full-coverage traffic network of highways, railways and airline will be established to ensure smooth transportation from airport and railway stations to the major scenic spots; and a smart tourism system will be built to provide online inquiries, guidance, reservations, payment and other convenient services.
