Tianshui's malatang ignites tourism boom

On March 28, Tianshui city witnessed a remarkable surge in tourism, achieving a comprehensive income of 111 million yuan ($15.35 million) and welcoming 190,400 visitors. From March 1 to 28, the city has hosted a total of 3.89 million tourists, realizing tourism revenue of 2.25 billion yuan.

As of 5 pm on March 28, the total number of clicks and plays for online videos and information related to "Gansu Tianshui Malatang" reached an astonishing 16.77 billion, marking an increase of 280 million from the previous day. The content garnered 1.21 billion likes and prompted 790 million interactive comments.

On the same day, cultural and artistic performances were held in Tianshui by delegations from Longnan city, Dunhuang city, and Pingchuan district of Baiyin city. The Tai Ping Drum performance team from Lanzhou New District also made its way to Tianshui to showcase their talent. Jinchang city participated with its "Yongchang Eighteen Dishes" culinary delights and other products for promotion. 

Additionally, Sichuan's cultural and tourism sector supported Tianshui with performances of Aba singing and dancing, while Shaanxi's Yulin continued its exhibition of the "Hengshan Old Waist Drum," an intangible cultural heritage. Fujian province's Jinjiang city also contributed to the promotional efforts in Tianshui.
