Eight thousand years is a long time, beyond the sight of a single glance. Yet 8,000 years can also be brief, like the blink of an eye.

On March 25, the grand immersive drama Tianshui Qiangu Show made a splendid return to the stage in Tianshui city.

Tianshui Qiangu Show employs traditional music, dance, folklore, and opera to interpret the myths of Fuxi, the Dadiwan culture, and the Maijishan Grottoes culture, showcasing Tianshui's long-standing and distinctive historical culture, offering audiences a multi-layered audiovisual experience.

"The stage effects of Tianshui Qiangu Show are very impressive, and the performance is stunning," said Zhang Xiaoping, a tourist from Xi'an. "This trip to Tianshui was truly worthwhile, not only for the malatang and visits to Maijishan and the Fuxi Temple but also for watching Tianshui Qiangu Show."

Wang Peng, a tourist from Lanzhou, expressed, "It's particularly surprising! The immersive viewing experience is quite distinctive."

According to the introduction, the audience of Tianshui Qiangu Show watches the performance while walking through the upper and lower scenic passageways, interacting with historical figures in a multi-dimensional theater space. The high-tech sounds, light, and electricity within the theater lead the audience through "situational experiences, immersive appreciation, and mobile viewing," to feel the ancient and profound historical culture.

The 90-minute spectacular performance allows the audience to unconsciously merge into the ancient world as the story unfolds, as if wandering through the interplay of light and shadow, the overlap of dreams and reality.

"In the performance, we directly feel and get close to history, 'meeting' those mythological and historical figures familiar to us since childhood. This immersive experience is incredibly impactful." "Interacting with historical figures in the theater's multi-dimensional performance space is a truly marvelous experience." These are just some of the audience's reflections after the show.
