Gaotai industrial park

Approved as the provincial industrial park by Gansu provincial government in 2006, Gaotai industrial park has been recognized as provincial circular economy demonstration park, demonstration base of new industrial industries, demonstration bases for agricultural industrialization, agricultural product processing demonstration park and municipal small and medium-sized enterprise entrepreneurship incubation base. In October 2015, it was divided into Nanhua industrial park and Yanchi industrial park. In September 2020, the two industrial parks have passed the provincial evaluation.

The Nanhua industrial park situates 10 kilometers away from the county, with planning area of 34 square kilometers, involving agricultural and sideline products processing, new energy chemical industry, equipment manufacturing and new building materials. The park has attracted 69 enterprises to settle down, forming agricultural and sideline products processing industry led by Qilian wine company, new energy chemical industry represented by Jinchangyuan coal industry Co. Ltd, machinery manufacturing industry led by Jiabao machinery manufacturing sales Co. Ltd and new building materials industry led by JuXin Silicon Material Technology Co., Ltd.

Yanchi industrial park situates at the north side of Nuocheng town in Gaotai county, where mirabilite reserves reaches 30 million tons, accounting for more than half of Gansu's mirabilite reserves; crude salt reserves reaches 11.68 million tons, making the industrial park Gansu's largest salt production base. The industrial park covers planning area of 5 square kilometers, focusing on fine chemical industry such as pesticide, medicine, daily use chemical and new materials. The park has been gradually improving the infrastructure, laying a good foundation for projects implementation and enterprises’ development. It plans to attract about 50 enterprises to settle down during the period of the 14th Five-Year period (2021-2025), achieving 10 billion yuan of output value and forming a circular economy industrial cluster with a certain influence with high technologies, good economic returns and low resources consumption and  environmental pollution.

Gaoyazitan Photovoltaic industrial park is a million-kilowatt-level photovoltaic industrial park built by Gaotai county, which situates at 32 kilometers away from southwest of the county, covering an area of 319 square kilometers. The annual sunshine hours in the park is about 3,200 hours and the total number of days available for solar energy is more than 280 days per year. Its average annual solar radiation value is 6301 megajoules per square meter with sunshine percentage up to 73 percent. The industrial park has rich solar thermal resources and land resources, significant location advantage, convenient transportation and perfect grid framework, making it a ideal place for developing the photovoltaic industry.
