All-for-one tourism

Zhangye City, Northwest China’s Gansu Province, boasts many natural heritages, rich cultural heritages, unique folk customs, and profound revolutionary culture. The city has 20 4A-level and above scenic spots and 16 four-star tourist hotels, ranking first in Gansu Province. The number of 4A-level and above scenic spots of Zhangye is second only to Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, in the five provinces of Northwest China. Zhangye City has won a number of honors and titles, including the most beautiful Chinese tourist city by the International Tourism Federation, the first batch of national cultural and tourism consumption pilot city, the first choice tourist destination of China for 2021, the top ten sports tourism destinations in China, and the national tourism standardization demonstration city. In 2020, the city’s tertiary industry led by cultural tourism accounted for 53.84 percent of GDP, and the cultural tourism is a veritable first industry for the city.

Zhangye City will strive to establish a new development pattern of all-for-one tourism. It features the leading Zhangye Danxia scenic spot, the national all-for-one tourism demonstration area, the Lushuiwan national tourist resort, and the Heihe River wetland and Qilian Mountain eco tourism as well as the Yugur ethnic group customs tourism. Highlighting high-end experience, health tourism, rural tourism and revolutionary tourism, the new tourism development pattern will build Zhangye a first-class, leading tourist destination city in Gansu, in northwest China, and even nationwide and worldwide.
