Driven by digital industrialization and industrial digitization, Zhangye City adheres to overall planning and key breakthroughs in its digital economic development, integrating independent innovation and open cooperation as well as government guidance and market mechanisms, in a bid to create a digital economy industrial chain of tens of billions yuan.

Zhangye City has participated in the construction of the national hub (Gansu) node for the national integrated computing power network, consolidated the new infrastructure for the digital economy, and empowered new technologies, new industries and new businesses with information technology.

The city has put a lot of efforts into the construction of digital government, digital society, and digital Silk Road, to facilitate governance modernization and build a digital economy ecosystem with Zhangye characteristics.

Relying on the Zhangye big data industrial park and the Zhangye intelligent manufacturing industrial park, Zhangye City will accelerate the development of digital information industry. By 2025, the city strives to achieve breakthroughs in key areas such as smart cultural tourism, modern agriculture, and digital government, and to make substantial improvements in data integration, digital economic development, intelligent application, and digital collaborative development. The city’s total economic scale of digital economy will exceed 30 billion yuan, and it aims to develop into a city-level digital economy model in Gansu and even in the northwest region.
