Zhangye viewed as must for Netherlands eyeing Chinese market

Companies in the Netherlands and Zhangye, Gansu province, are going to team up to pursue food production and facility agriculture, according to Karel van Bommel, agricultural counselor, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in China.

Karel gave a thumbs-up to Zhangye's agricultural industry upon seeing the local modern farms, high-tech greenhouses and companies in person.

He noted that there is significant potential for cooperation between China and the Netherlands in the dairy, potato and greenhouse vegetable industries.
