Gansu attracts investments to boost cultural tourism

The Gansu Province Cultural Tourism Industry Investment Promotion Conference was held in Dunhuang, Gansu province on Sept 7, as a sub-event of the Sixth Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo.

More than 240 entrepreneurs, financiers and traveling salesmen attended the meeting.

Cities and prefectures such as Lanzhou and Jiuquan signed 26 key projects with cultural tourism companies, with funds exceeding $1.45 billion. The projects cover health care, cultural tourism & technology, creative products, performing arts, complex construction and scenic spot improvement.

In order to provide financial support for the local cultural tourism industry, the province's regulatory bureau of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission organized relevant banks to grant credit lines of 20 billion yuan to enterprises.
