On Jan 28, 2024, the actors of a local Shehuo troupe rehearsed at the cultural square in Shahe town of Linze county, Zhangye, Northwest China's Gansu province.

Shehuo is a traditional folk celebration activity for the Chinese New Year. It involves various performances such as high platforms, stilts, lion dances, dragon dances and more.

The festive spirit has well and truly arrived. Several Shehuo troupes in Linze have been rehearsing intensely for their performances, preparing to present a splendid cultural feast for the public during Spring Festival.
