Over a thousand embrace beauty of Gansu beneath Qilian Mountains

Over 1,000 hiking enthusiasts from Qinghai, Tianshui, Dingxi, Jiuquan, Jiayuguan, Wuwei, Jinchang, and Zhangye participated in a 5-kilometer hike at Shenlu Park in Gansu province on May 18, 2024. This event was part of the national "5.19 Walk for Health" campaign.

While enjoying the exercise, participants were treated to stunning views of the Qilian Mountains, with its vast meadows, blue skies, white clouds, and snow-capped peaks. Forests, herds of deer, and the natural beauty of the region painted a picturesque landscape.

In recent years, Zhangye has actively promoted the integration of sports and tourism. The city aims to become a "New Highland for Outdoor Sports on the Silk Road" and a "Sports Event Hub in the Hexi Corridor." By leveraging the impact of sporting events, they seek to boost the sports economy and drive the deep integration of the cultural, sports, and tourism industries.
