Colorful ethnic activities enchant visitors in Sunan

On Aug 31, the cultural square of Dongniumao village in Baiyin Mongolian township, Sunan Yugur autonomous county, Zhangye, Gansu province, came alive with traditional Mongolian wrestling matches. The spectacle drew numerous tourists eager to experience authentic Mongolian folk customs.

The day marked the opening of the 17th Nadamu Cultural Tourism Art Festival in the distinctive Dongniumao village. Mongolian residents engaged in a variety of traditional sports and cultural activities, including horse racing, wrestling, archery, tire flipping, and male and female ox-pulling competitions. The event also featured displays of ethnic costumes and performances of traditional songs and dances. The air was filled with applause, cheers, and exclamations from enthusiastic spectators, highlighting the vibrant atmosphere of rural tourism.
