The South China A (Agricultural) Valley was launched by the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences on March 10, along with the launching of the "1+8+10+N" modern agricultural sci-tech innovation incubation service alliance.

The South China A Valley is a modern agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship incubator platform aims to provide comprehensive and professional incubation and acceleration services for agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship entities as well as help rural revitalization.

The valley is located in the central zone of the "innovation cradle around Wushan" in Tianhe district, and is adjacent to research institutes and universities like South China University of Technology, South China Agricultural University and the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

To date, the valley has built Jinying Agricultural Science Incubator, the largest national agricultural sci-tech enterprise incubator in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and has attracted more than 240 agricultural sci-tech enterprises with an annual output value of over 10 billion yuan ($1.57 billion).

According to Xu Lichao, general manager of Jinying, the valley has formed a sci-tech enterprise incubation system formed by maker spaces, incubators, accelerators, and industrial parks, which help boost the development of enterprises.

It has helped 33 agricultural enterprises to become national or provincial agricultural leading enterprises, 29 to become agricultural high-tech enterprises, and 13 agricultural enterprises have been listed.

The "1+8+10+N" modern agricultural sci-tech innovation incubation service alliance is centered on the "innovation cradle around Wushan", cooperates with eight agriculture-related research institutes and universities and 10 sci-tech enterprise incubation carriers, and integrates the resources of N professional third-party service institutions to promote the marketization of sci-tech achievements and the integration of agricultural science and technology within the industry.
