Guangzhou Garden Expo kicks off in Tianhe
The 29th Guangzhou Garden Expo and the 2022 Guangzhou International Flower Art Exhibition took place in Tianhe district, Guangzhou from March 31 to April 5.
This year's garden expo featured city garden works by six cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, eight bamboo works by countries and regions along the Belt and Road, as well as bonsai works by over 60 foreign and domestic masters.
In addition, the "Guangzhou Garden," a work that won the Gold Medal and the Best in Show award at the 2021 RHS Chelsea Flower Show, was staged at the garden expo.
The Chelsea Flower Show is hosted by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). It is the world's most famous and grandest horticultural expo, renowned as the "Oscars of Gardening."
The "Guangzhou Garden" was designed by famous British horticultural designer Peter Chmiel. It tells the story of the harmonious coexistence between ecological systems and urban life, expressing Guangzhou's forward-looking explorations in its construction of an urban ecological civilization.
