Chambers of commerce devoted to Tianhe's COVID-19 efforts

The neighborhoods' chambers of commerce in Tianhe district have made donations worth about 320,000 yuan ($50,314), including 210,000 masks, 200 umbrellas, and a batch of temperature guns, to help the district's efforts combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Yuangang Neighborhood Chamber of Commerce donated 5,000-yuan worth of goods and materials. Its secretary general, serving as a volunteer, made a detailed survey and registration of people who came back to the district from outside Guangzhou, went door to door to learn about residents' health conditions, as well as informed them of protective measures.

An emergency support team of over 70 volunteers was formed by the Linhe Neighborhood Chamber of Commerce to assist in the nucleic acid testing of passengers arriving at Guangzhou East Railway Station, serving nearly 70,000 people.

The Xiancun Neighborhood Chamber of Commerce offered 5,000-yuan worth of goods and materials for medical workers and police officers who have fought on the frontlines against COVID-19.

A total of 80,000 yuan, 100,000 masks, as well as 200 umbrellas were donated by the Huangcun Neighborhood Chamber of Commerce and its members to help the neighborhood's anti-COVID-19 efforts and vaccination campaigns for seniors.

The Chebei Neighborhood Chamber of Commerce donated 60 boxes of goods and materials that were valued at about 20,000 yuan, while the Shipai Neighborhood Chamber of Commerce offered 110,000 disposable medical masks to the Shipai campus of South China Normal University.

The Tianhe South Neighborhood Chamber of Commerce and its members donated a batch of goods and materials that were worth about 125,000 yuan to the neighborhood.
