"Mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area are increasingly closely linked with Hong Kong in economy and other aspects, with more and more Hong Kong people living on the mainland in the Greater Bay Area," said Ho. "As a Hong Kong lawyer, it is my honor to serve as a bridge for exchanges and cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong, and I am willing to make some contributions."
According to the relevant person in charge of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Justice, allowing Hong Kong and Macao lawyers to practice in the nine Guangdong cities of the Greater Bay Area will give full play to Hong Kong and Macao lawyers' advantages of being familiar with Anglo-American laws, as well as the laws of Portuguese-speaking countries and regions. It will also enhance the legal services level and international competitiveness of the Greater Bay Area, helping foster an international, market-based, and law-based business environment.
