Guangzhou reports 6 confirmed COVID-19 cases

According to the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission's latest COVID-19 update, Guangzhou identified six local confirmed cases and one local asymptomatic case on Sept 4.

Six Local Confirmed Cases:

The first patient is a 35-year-old woman living in Dashi sub-district, Panyu district.

The second patient is a 27-year-old man living in Dashi sub-district, Panyu district.

The third patient is a 69-year-old woman living in Jiangnanzhong sub-district, Haizhu district.

The fourth patient is a 69-year-old man living in Jiangnanzhong sub-district, Haizhu district.

The first to fourth patients were close contacts of reported local cases and were identified in centralized quarantine facilities.

The fifth patient is a 33-year-old man living in Zhuji sub-district, Tianhe district.

According to a report from Tianhe district:

A 33-year-old man, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Sept 4, was diagnosed as a COVID-19 case with mild symptoms. He lives at No 2 Nanmen Middle Street, Zhucun village, Zhuji sub-district, Tianhe district.

The sixth patient is a 25-year-old man living in Dashi sub-district, Panyu district.

The fifth and sixth patients are colleagues who were found among contacts of reported local patients who had been to Dashi sub-district.

One Asymptomatic Case:

The asymptomatic patient is a 68-year-old woman living in Longjin sub-district, Liwan district. She is a close contact of a previously reported local patient and was identified in a centralized quarantine facility.

All of these patients have been transferred to Guangzhou No 8 People's Hospital for isolation and treatment. Their conditions are stable.
