Huamei International School and Tianhe Foreign Language School, two schools in Guangzhou's Tianhe district, were recently listed among the first batch of education internationalization models in Guangzhou.

A total of 20 schools across Guangzhou made the list, which is set to deepen cultural exchanges with foreign schools and promote the opening up of the education sector.

Huamei International School, founded in June 1993, is one of the earliest schools set up for returning overseas students in China after the implementation of the reform and opening up policy in 1978. It is a boarding school that integrates a kindergarten, primary school, junior high school, local high school, and international high school.

"Foreign languages + technology" is one of the educational characteristics of Tianhe Foreign Language School. By focusing on competitions, scientific and technological innovation, and inventions, the school has created high-quality research-based learning courses.
