Tianhe district was awarded the title of "2024 Preferred Night Economy District" at the recent China Night Economy Research Results Release Event, held by the China Tourism Academy in Shenzhen.

In the national survey, Tianhe stood out prominently in the night economy. In the first quarter of 2024, the district ranked first among all the districts of Guangzhou with a nighttime consumption totaling 220 million yuan ($30.25 million).

The Tianhe Road Business Circle led with 9.68 million visitors at night, securing the top spot among all the business circles in Guangzhou.

During the prime time of 8 pm-9 pm, the Tianhe Road Business Circle saw a peak passenger flow exceeding 500,000 people, leading the way in Guangzhou.

Currently, Tianhe boasts the Grandview Plaza, the national-level nighttime cultural and tourism consumption hub, Zhujiang New Town – one of Guangzhou's three major Chinese and Western culinary aggregation areas – as well as 24-hour leisure places like Pingchuan Night Lane at the Link Plaza.

The hosting of events like the Guangzhou Gourmet Week and the Guangzhou International Light Festival is also said to be galvanizing the vitality of the night economy in Tianhe.
