The Colors of China: The Glorious Porcelain Glaze exhibition wowed visitors when it opened on Dec 10 at the Guangdong Museum, located in Tianhe district of Guangzhou, as part of the museum's "Ancient Art Series" of programs.
The event is displaying over 200 pieces of colored glazed porcelain from the museum's collection – including 13 first-grade, 142 second-grade and 37 third-grade national cultural relics.
Divided into eight sections based on the traditional five colors of cyan, red, yellow, white, and black, the exhibition traces the evolution of colored glaze porcelain, showing the unique beauty and cultural significance of each hue.
It will run until May 23, 2025, and is said to offer visitors a journey through the beauty and history of Chinese porcelain and its vibrant color glazes.
