Anji investment, trade forum brings in $5.7b

The 2019 Anji Investment & Trade Promotion Forum was held on Nov 16 in Anji county, Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

Nearly 200 representatives from leading domestic and foreign companies were invited as guests to the forum.

Many experts and scholars attended the forum to discuss the economic development of the county and offer their advice on further development.

A total of 25 projects were signed during the forum worth over 40 billion yuan ($5.7 billion) in total.

According to local authorities, the total value of the projects signed at this year's forum is the highest yet seen in the 12 years since the forum was first held in 2008.

The projects focused on big data, pharmaceuticals, intelligent manufacturing, high-end tourism and headquarters economy, among other areas.

The most expensive project carried a price tag of over 10 billion yuan. It focused on the construction and operation of a cloud data center providing data storage and hosting services.

The project was funded by Guodong Group, a famous wireless infrastructure company in China.

During the forum, the county also issued a county-level document on evaluation criteria for measuring the quality of business environments, the first of its kind in China.
