A national forum on the ecological environment industry took place in Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province on Dec 14.
The event brought together experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and government officials from various fields to engage in in-depth discussions on the latest trends in the ecological environment industry and the formulation of strategies for achieving high-quality development.
The opening ceremony commenced with inspiring speeches delivered by An Lijia, vice-chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Chen Hao, secretary of the CPC Huzhou Municipal Committee.
An Lijia urged private enterprises to embrace and implement the nation's ecological civilization ideology. He called upon them to actively participate in establishing a new development paradigm and commit to resource-efficient utilization as well as green and low-carbon sustainable development. Recognizing the importance of seizing opportunities presented by the "dual-carbon" strategy, he emphasized the need for increased investment in key research and development areas, widespread adoption of pivotal technologies, and independent product innovation to enhance industrial competitiveness. He emphasized that these efforts would accelerate the emergence of new productive forces within the ecological environment sector.
Chen Hao extended a warm welcome to the distinguished leaders and guests, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support and longstanding interest in Huzhou's endeavors.
Highlighting Huzhou's transformative journey towards green and low-carbon development, Chen Hao painted a vibrant picture of "a beautiful China found in Huzhou". He earnestly invited attendees to witness for themselves the city's natural splendor, the thriving industrial ecosystem, the fervor of innovation, and the tangible benefits of a business-friendly environment. With open arms, he encouraged entrepreneurs to choose Huzhou as their investment destination and entrepreneurial hub, fostering collaboration to seize development opportunities and collectively shape a brighter future.
The event also included the announcement of the "Top 50 Environmental Enterprises in China 2023" and the "Outstanding Innovative Member Enterprises of the Environmental Chamber of Commerce 2023", both of which included two companies from Huzhou.
