The Shen Jiaben Historical and Cultural Park is located in Miaoxi town, Wuxing district, Huzhou. The park, spanning an area of 7.4 mu, with a construction area of approximately 7000 square meters, the park, officially opened on April 23, 2021.

Within the park, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the influential contributions of Shen Jiaben, a renowned scholar and jurist during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Shen played a vital role in fostering communication and integration between Chinese and Western legal systems, making him an important figure in Chinese legal history.

The park is an active promoter of Chinese rule of law, providing a deeper understanding of the historical development of the Chinese legal system. Moreover, it facilitates cultural exchange between China and foreign nations.

Born in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, Shen Jiaben was responsible for revising several codes, leading to the abolition of barbaric punishments like "slow slicing" (lingchi). He is recognized as a pioneer in China's legal modernization efforts.
