With exquisite precision, embroiderers deftly manipulate their needles, crafting intricate masterpieces on fabric. The threads swirl like leaping fish and fluttering butterflies, each stitch executed with meticulous care, every line flowing seamlessly, breathing life into vibrant works of art.

This enchanting scene unfolds daily in the embroidery workshop located in Lucun village, Balidian town, Wuxing district, Huzhou. Established in 2016, the workshop is now home to a team of 26 embroiderers, all local villagers aged 50 and above.

Among them is the 71-year-old embroiderer Tang Shuming. "I was nurtured under my grandmother's watchful eye, where my passion for embroidery bloomed. As Lucun village embraced the revival of silk culture in recent years, I joined forces with a group of like-minded individuals to inject new vitality into this ancient art form," said Tang.

"Our embroidery primarily focuses on flat stitching and is prized for its accessibility, yet it requires great patience and attention to detail," Tang elaborated.
