Bayannuur

Bayannuur is located in the western part of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, lying between Hetao Plain and Urad grassland. In Mongolian language, Bayannuur means abundant lakes as the city is famous for its numerous lakes and the freshwater lake Ulansuhai Nur. It borders Mongolia.
The city takes full advantages in farming, mineral and water resources, allowing it to focus on the development of industries in agriculture and livestock products processing, mining and chemicals.
In 2016, the city realized 93 billion yuan ($13.4 billion) in GDP. Its investment in fixed assets was 73.4 billion yuan; public fiscal revenues were 7 billion yuan; and a total of 25 billion yuan of foreign investment was introduced.
