In a bid to promote the local food culture, the 1st Hinggan Food Culture Festival was held in Ulaanhot, Hinggan League, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on June 15.

The event aims to promote local agricultural, animal, and food products, Hinggan food culture, and local tourism to increase farmer incomes and propel high-quality economic and social development.

Local authorities and many residents participated in the event, trying over 600 dishes cooked by more than 40 catering companies, as well as nine local specialties.

Local authorities also talked to catering experts about improving banquet displays, being more innovative with dishes, and ensuring food safety.
