An opening ceremony for an exhibition of Inner Mongolia-themed artwork was held at the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) in Beijng on June 21.

The exhibition featured over 140 paintings by 120 famous artists from all over China, who traveled in Inner Mongolia for one year (December 2017 to December 2018) to observe and experience the local life and culture.

The exhibition, which will run until July 1, showcases the impressive transformation of Inner Mongolia and the magnificent scenery of northern China over the 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The paintings will also be exhibited at the Inner Mongolia Art Museum on October 1.
