As of Nov 11, Ereenhot Port, the largest land border crossing between China and Mongolia, has recorded a total of 1.23 million passengers and 204,000 vehicle or train crossings this year.

On Nov 11 alone, 8,898 passengers crossed the border, setting a new single-day record for the year.

Located just 9 kilometers apart, Ereenhot Port in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region faces Zamyn-Uud city in Mongolia across the border.

As a vital gateway for China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and northward opening-up, Ereenhot Port has formed an international transportation corridor featuring road, railway, and aviation services.

It is responsible for over 70 percent of the daily living supplies that are traded between the two countries. Convenient transportation and a comfortable customs clearance environment are two of the main reasons why passengers choose to pass through Ereenhot Port.

Qicaihong Bridge, symbolizing the friendship between China and Mongolia, has become a window for economic and trade exchanges, cultural communication, and people-to-people interactions between the two countries.
