At this year's national two sessions, Ao Huiran, the head of Ewenki Autonomous Banner in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, proposed the inclusion of cattle feed in the national strategic reserve plan in order to promote high-quality development in the pastoral animal husbandry sector.
He also expressed the hope to further improve the graded management system for disaster relief feed reserves, increase financial support for feed reserves, and implement feed reserve insurance policies.
These measures aim to continuously promote the stable development of the feed industry, expand and strengthen feed industry clusters, and drive the high-quality development and upgrading of the animal husbandry sector as a whole.
Ao believes that guaranteeing feed supply is fundamental for ensuring the safety of meat, eggs, milk, and other livestock products. Furthermore, the construction of feed growing bases is one of the important ways to alleviate the pressure of areas that are used for natural grazing. It also promotes the restoration of grassland ecological functions.
