Hai'an in Jiangsu province has prepared an array of celebrations for the upcoming Spring Festival holiday. 

Hai'an Spring Festival Gala

The annual Hai’an Spring Festival Gala is set to be unveiled from 7 pm to 9 pm on Jan 23.

This year's gala is scheduled to take place at the Hai'an Sports Center, featuring lucky draws during the event. Outside the venue, a festive fair is set to await everyone, offering special purchases for the Spring Festival.

In addition, a calligraphy activity is anticipated to take place at the fair, allowing participants to receive Spring couplets written by calligraphers on the spot.

New Year lantern shows

The New Year Lantern show in Hai'an is set to kick off at the Jianghuai Cultural Park from Jan 22 to Feb 15. Over 22 grand lantern groups are expected to grace the city and offer visitors a spectacular visual feast enveloped in a festive vibe. 

Traditional folk parades

The traditional folk parades are scheduled on Jan 29, the first day of the Lunar New Year, from 2 pm to 3:30 pm and on Feb 2 from 9:30 am to 11 am. These vibrant parades are set to bring delightful lion dances to both locals and tourists in the downtown area and at key business complexes.
