Hai'an Senior School celebrated the opening of the Wang Qiyin New Ink Art Gallery on Jan 18, honoring the artistic achievements of Wang Qiyin, a renowned painter and calligrapher from Haian.

A member of the China Artists Association and the China Calligraphers Association, Wang's works have been presented as national gifts to foreign leaders on more than ten occasions.

The gallery is divided into three sections: Wang's life journey, a selection of his representative works, and a display of artifacts from his collection. This unique space brings exceptional art and artistic knowledge to the campus, providing students with a platform to experience and appreciate the beauty of art. It also bridges the gap between artistic resources and educational needs, enriching students' cultural education.

Wang expressed his aspirations for the gallery, saying, "I plan to invite scholars and artists from across the country and abroad to experience Hai'an's unique artistic charm. I aim to offer aesthetic appreciation courses for Hai'an students, share my artistic insights, and explore pathways for art's inheritance, development, and innovation."
