China launched a group of internet satellites on Jan 19, marking the success of its 19th group of low-orbit hardware in the State-owned internet network.

These satellites were the second group independently developed by GalaxySpace, a Beijing-based private satellite company, and manufactured at its smart factory in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA).

The satellites are equipped with multiple core technologies, including phased array and millimeter-wave antennas, and their development process achieved full digital integration for the first time, significantly improving production efficiency through automated testing, intelligent assembly, and inspection.

As a leading private commercial aerospace enterprise, GalaxySpace has now launched 45 satellites into orbit. Its smart satellite factory in NETDA has established a complete industrial ecosystem, covering satellite component R&D, production, and integrated testing. The team has also developed a collaborative intelligent scheduling system, which further shortens the satellite development cycle.

"Although every launch is exciting, today marks the first launch of 2026, and seeing the rocket ascend still fills us with great emotion," said Liu Chang, co-founder and vice-president of GalaxySpace, at the launch site. "Each launch represents technological iterations in the satellites, which is no small feat."

"Since its establishment in Nantong in 2020, GalaxySpace has received comprehensive support from the city. The company will continue to deepen its roots in Nantong and contribute to the development of the local commercial aerospace industry," Liu added.
