Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Disease, China's first clinical medicine monograph, was written by medical scientist Zhang Zhongjing in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 25–220).
This monograph contains medical principles, methods, descriptions and herbal researches. It is a pioneer for diagnosing and treating, based on an overall analysis of the illness and the patient's condition, laying a solid foundation for China's ancient medical theories.
