WFRS Regional Convention is an international event held by the World Federation of Rose Societies, a worldwide federation of 40 national rose societies.

Member societies will communicate on the achievements of rose cultivation, breeding, landscaping and culture during the convention scheduled to take place in Nanyang, Henan province in 2019. They will furthermore demonstrate the latest rose species, breeding technologies as well as their applications. The convention is also designed to promote regional brands and provide an international cooperation platform for the host country and city.

Hosted by the World Federation of Rose Societies and the China Flower Association;

Undertaken by the Chinese Rose Society of China Flower Association, Henan Flower Association, and People's Government of Nanyang City.

IV. Major activities

The convention covers a series of activities which include an opening ceremony, academic discourse, industry leading forums, professional exhibitions, study tours and a closing ceremony.

V. Overall layout

The convention is comprised of three areas–core area, extension area and radiation area.

The core area contains Nanyang Rose Garden, Nanyang Rose Exhibition Garden and Nanyang Rose Park and is the place where the major activities will take place.

The extension area span over the Wolong, Wancheng and Gaoxin districts, as well as Sheqi, Nanzhao and Zenpin counties, and the demonstration zones of urban and rural integration. The major functions of these areas are to develop the rose industry, expand rose growing areas, strengthen the construction of tourism infrastructure and set up a rose industrial cluster in China.

The radiation area reaches to the central urban area of Nanyang city, metropolitan areas of nearby regions and well-known scenic spots. This area is designed to beautify the city by planting more roses, building Nanyang into a world rose city, and provide strong support for the convention.
