A delegation from Luxembourg for Finance (LFF) held a financial promotion conference in Zhengzhou on Nov 14 to seek multifaceted cooperation with Henan province.

The promotion conference aimed to open up space for cooperation between Henan province and Luxembourg in aviation, finance, trade and other fields. The conference publicized Luxembourg's investment advantages and preferential policies, and introduced the support that LFF can provide to Henan investors seeking to enter the European market.

The conference will develop a long-term communication and cooperation mechanism for financial cooperation between the two sides. It will help Henan financial enterprises broaden their horizons, upgrade their capabilities and expand into new markets.

The delegation, led by Nicolas Mackel, chief executive officer of LFF, consists of 26 representatives from a range of financial institutions. Luc Decker, consul general of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Shanghai, was also invited to the conference.

Luxembourg and Henan province both have great cooperation potential in the development of the financial industry. Luxembourg's financial industry involves a wide range of products and highly developed services. It is the main offshore center of the RMB in the Eurozone and one of the most important cross-border RMB trading centers in Europe. Henan province has also enjoyed rapid growth in the financial industry in recent years.

Nicolas Mackel said at the conference that Luxembourg will further strengthen cooperation with Henan province in logistics, air cargo and other areas. Luxembourg will also provide a good platform for Henan enterprises to enter the European market.

LFF is an agency focused on the development of the financial center. It is a public-private partnership between the Luxembourg government and the Luxembourg Financial Industry Federation. Founded in 2008, its objective is to develop Luxembourg's financial services industry and identify new business opportunities.
