The city and local forestry department will tend to over 1.2 million mu of forests, cultivate 53,000 mu of plants and flowers, and construct national forest reserves of 260,000 mu.
Next year will mark the first year that Henan province officially implements its ecological construction forestry planning for 2018 to 2027. It is also significant in consolidating Nanyang's construction of a national forest city.
The city will devote itself to promoting the construction of ecological corridors, farmland shelter-belts, forest villages, and mountain ecological forests next year.
