New Nanyang City Library expands reader benefits

On the first day of 2021, Nanyang City Library opened to the public, becoming a new cultural landmark of the city.
"Compared with the old library, the reading room of the new library has increased to 2,000 seats, with a collection of nearly 800,000 books. In the newly-added e-reading room people can read e-books and listen to books, and the children’s activity area regularly holds parent-child activities. The corridor on the first floor is equipped with self-service vending machines, book walls and chairs to provide readers with a more comfortable reading experience,” said Sun Huailiang, deputy curator of the library.
In addition an improved reading environment, the library also has children's activity rooms, academic lecture halls, exhibition halls, self-study rooms and other functional areas to provide citizens with more cultural services.
