The wheat in Nanyang city is reaching maturity, the summer grain harvest is in sight and the "three summer" production work is proceeding in an orderly manner, according to the Nanyang Municipal Agriculture and Rural Bureau on May 27.

At present, Nanyang has introduced more than 8,000 combine harvesters, plus nearly 10,000 local large and medium-sized combine harvesters, which can meet the production needs of the city's farmers.

At the same time, summer planting is a critical period for the adjustment of crop structure. This year, Nanyang's summer crops are expected to cover 11 million mu and mainly include corn, peanuts, sweet potatoes and soybeans.

In terms of summer planting and management and disaster prevention and mitigation technology, the city will promote the integration of agricultural machinery and agronomy technology, guide farmers to improve their planting quality, and implement key technologies for autumn crop field management.
