In the past three years, Nanyang has focused on schools and kindergartens, strengthened their supervision and management and carried out health education to create a healthy and safe campus environment.

The city implemented the "School Hygiene Work Regulations", strengthened the prevention and control of infectious and common diseases of students, established school hospitals or clinics, and allocated full-time health technicians or part-time health teachers to put on classes in schools and kindergartens about the teaching and living environments of canteens (including drinking water facilities), dormitories and toilets that comply with national health standards or relevant regulations.

Primary and secondary schools have carried out a series of health education activities in the form of class meetings and knowledge competitions. At present, the city’s primary and secondary schools generally offer health education courses, and the awareness rate of students’ health education knowledge has reached 92 percent.

At the same time, Nanyang organized physical health monitoring of primary and secondary school students, deepened the school's "health knowledge + basic sports skills + special sports skills" teaching model, and focused on strengthening identification of physical fitness monitoring institutions as well as feedback and communication with parents.
