In the first half of the year, Nanyang took strong measures to coordinate and integrate innovative resources, and encourage the city's scientific and technological work to achieve significant results.

The city determined 10 major municipal science and technology projects, organized and implemented 3 municipal science and technology leading talent projects, and 235 scientific and technological innovation projects. Special explosion-proof fire-fighting equipment, large-capacity high-speed motors, high-thermal borosilicate glass, and a new generation of VTG, are just some of the technological breakthroughs that have been made in the research and development of turbocharger housing and water-based acrylic industrial coatings.

Five projects, including the "Sericulture Industrialization and Technological Demonstration in Sheqi County”, successfully applied for the national central guidance plan. Sixty-seven scientific and technological projects have been listed as provincial key research and development projects and special promotion projects, and 7 projects have been listed as provincial natural science fund projects.

More than 60 sessions of centralized training, on and offline training, and one-on-one coaching training have been organized, with more than 500 technology-based enterprises and more than 700 scientific and technical personnel being cultivated.

The city also actively helped to connect the high-end intelligence of colleges and universities, gathered high-quality innovative resources, and focused on Nanyang's key universities and technology-based enterprises to build a number of high-level research and development platforms.

Among them, the key laboratories of Nanyang City National Biofuels, Zhang Zhongjing Jingfang and Immunology of Henan Province, and the ecological governance of the Middle Route Project of Henan South-to-North Water Diversion Project have organized and implemented more than 30 national and provincial natural science funds, basic research, and scientific and technological research projects.

With Nanyang science and technology enterprises and universities as the focus, a total of 20 provincial science and technology progress awards, 1 outstanding contribution award, and 1 international cooperation award have been organized. In the first quarter, the city's technology contract transaction volume reached 502 million yuan.
