According to Nanyang's rural "toilet revolution" and sewage treatment site promotion meeting, the city will complete the renovation of 180,000 rural toilets this year. The sewage treatment rate in rural areas will be over 33 percent. The collection, transportation and disposal of rural domestic waste will be fully covered. Sewage treatment tasks in 76 key villages will be completed to ensure the overall improvement of the rural living environment.

By 2025, the city will have completed the transformation of 800,000 rural toilets. On average, more than 160,000 toilets will need to be changed every year. This year, in accordance with the goals and tasks of Henan province, Nanyang will complete the task of renovating 180,000 households.

To date, more than 98 percent of village garbage in the city has been effectively treated.
