4th Chinese Farmer's Film Festival kicks off

The opening ceremony of the 4th Chinese Farmer's Film Festival was held in Tangshan Wetland Park beside the middle line of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project in Xichuan county, Nanyang, Henan province on Sept 26.
Liu Huanxin, deputy director of the Office of the Central Leading Group for Rural Work, attended the event and announced the official opening of the film festival.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Ning Qiwen, editor-in-chief and deputy Party secretary of the China Agricultural Film and Television Center. Yan Shaofi, secretary general of the Chinese Film Association, delivered a speech.

Zhu Shixi, secretary of the Nanyang Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, delivered a speech on behalf of the county. At the launch ceremony, he introduced Nanyang's profound history and folk customs and expressed his gratitude to the people of Nanyang for the film festival for bringing rich "spiritual food" to farmers in Nanyang.
The opening ceremony was hosted by actor Liu Jin, Yue Hong, host Liu Dongdong of the "Getting Rich" program by China Central Radio and Television, and Xie Yingling, host of the Film Satellite Channel Program Center of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
The festival will focus on advanced figures emerging from the country's poverty alleviation work. Zhang Yugun, principal of a primary school in the mountains, and Qin Yinglin, an entrepreneur who helped hundreds of thousands of people achieve poverty alleviation, were invited to the event .
Xichuan county, where the event was held, is the location of the Taocha Hub at the head of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. Two immigrant representatives from the South-to-North Water Diversion Project were invited to attend the event.
The opening ceremony recommended 10 "Science and Education Movies Most Suitable for Farmers", such as "Flying to the Moon", "Migration of Life and Death", and "China Tiankun". "The most suitable opera films for farmers to watch" and five " most suitable documentaries for farmers to watch" included "A Story of Entering the City", "Thousands of Buildings in Ande Guangsha" and "Wuhan Day and Night".
In addition, the opening ceremony also announced the final list of 10 films recommended as part of the poverty alleviation theme movie recommendation activity, namely: "A Thousand Hectares and Clear Blue Times", "My Father Jiao Yulu", "Youth as a Companion to Homecoming", " "My Hometown and I", "Get Home at One Point", "It's March 3rd of a Year", "Spring Promise", "Poverty Alleviation Director", "Ishui Luan Mountain", "Houchi New Fool".
There are 12 promotion ambassadors for this year's festival, namely: Xiao Shenyang, Li Yugang, Yang Tongshu, Huang Xiaojuan, Zhang Guangbei, Guo Kaimin, Wang Luyao, Shen Danping, An Hu, Jiang Yiyan, Qin Niu Zhengwei and Miao Bo.
The event also invited the main creative team of the movie "My Father Jiao Yulu", in which Guo Xiaodong tells the story of the people's servant Jiao Yulu. The film was also selected as one of the 10 recommended films to be screened on the theme of poverty alleviation.
