On March 5, the Ningxia delegation to the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) held its second plenary meeting during the NPC's third session to review the government work report.
Li Yifei, an NPC deputy and Party secretary of the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, chaired the meeting and offered opinions and suggestions on several key issues, including drafting the "15th Five-Year Plan", optimizing productivity layouts, major project construction, and addressing public welfare shortcomings.
Deputy Zhan Wenlong emphasized the importance of focusing on technological innovation, green and low-carbon development, and strengthening basic research. He called for accelerated progress in scientific research projects, cultivating and expanding talent pools, and optimizing innovation platform construction to drive high-quality economic and social development.
Other deputies, including Liu Zhongjun, Ma Honghai, and Ma Huijuan, also spoke at the meeting. They suggested supporting Zhongwei in its efforts to become "China's Computing Power Capital", extending urban village renovation policies to counties, and addressing gaps in primary healthcare services.
