Print PrintThe Panhe River Scenic Area is designed as an urban central park in Tai'an city, East China's Shandong province.
With a total investment of 2.7 billion yuan ($400 million), the scenic area is built along the Panhe River which is 14.5 kilometers long, covering an area of more than 5,900 mu (393.33 hectares). Its afforested area reaches 2,300 mu while the wetland covers 5 square kilometers.
Equipped with cultural attractions, fitness facilities, parking lots, recreational facilities and commerce institutions, the scenic area has become a popular destination for local residents to spend their free time.
