Nakamura made the remarks during his online speech at the Japan session of the "Connecting Shandong with Fortune Global 500" serial event held on Nov 10 in Jinan, capital of Shandong.

Sumitomo Corporation is one of Japan's five largest trading companies and a Fortune Global 500 company. It has maintained a good cooperative relationship with Shandong for a long time. The two sides enjoy strong cooperation in the areas of medical treatment, health care, sewage treatment, smart transportation and infrastructure.

During the event, Sumitomo Corporation signed memorandums of understanding with Jinan on an airport construction project and with Yantai on a sewage treatment project.
