Culture-themed photography and short video contest held in Shandong

A photography and short video contest, concluded successfully in Shandong. 

Themed along the Yellow River, meeting the sea, the contest walked into the sixth edition. 

Since its launch on Oct 16, 2023, the contest received a total of 2,807 entries from both within and outside the province. These included 2,475 sets of photographs and 332 short videos. Among them, 749 outstanding works were selected for display, showcasing the majestic image of the Yellow River winding its way into the sea.

The judging process, combining online voting and expert evaluation, resulted in awards for four first-place, seven second-place, and 19 third-place winners in the photography category, along with two first-place, eight second-place, and 13 third-place winners in the short video category. Additionally, 10 works from each category received the Network Popularity Award, and 10 organizations were awarded as outstanding organizations.

The photographs authentically depicted the diverse beauty of the Yellow River, covering natural landscapes, ecological wonders, cultural heritage, and local people's hospitality. Gu Yongwei, the renowned photographer and contest judge, praised the rich content, diverse perspectives, and high artistic quality of the photography submissions.

The short video category demonstrated innovative storytelling through various forms, including documentaries, narrative stories, music videos, rap, recitations, cartoons, flash Vlogs, and more. The videos vividly portrayed the natural and cultural phenomena along the Yellow River, reflecting the deep connection between the river and the people.
