Shandong holds conference to boost foreign trade market expansion, brand globalization

On Feb 23, the Shandong Province Overseas Market Expansion Action Promotion Conference was held in Jinan, capital of Shandong province. The conference focused on empowering foreign trade enterprises to expand their markets and promote brand globalization as well as the stable development of foreign trade in the province. A series of policy measures and overseas activity arrangements to help enterprises explore the international market were also revealed during the conference.
According to the introduction, Shandong will organize 263 provincial-level overseas exhibitions and 10 special docking activities in 2024, and coordinate financial, logistics, supply chain and other resources to vigorously explore the international market.
Specifically, Shandong will hold 50 exhibitions in the EU market in 2024 and focus on promoting Shandong's energy-saving equipment, medicine and chemical industry, green building materials, and deeply-processed agricultural products.
Twenty-four exhibitions will be organized in the US to help enterprises increase exports of textiles and clothing, auto parts, hardware and building materials and other products to the US.
In addition, Shandong will also hold 87 exhibitions in the markets of countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, focusing on Russia, ASEAN, Central Asia, and West Asia, to improve the market share of Shandong's mechanical equipment, hardware and building materials, tire and auto part companies in the countries.
The 11 exhibitions held in Africa will focus on the promotion of agricultural machinery, construction machinery, electric power equipment, auto parts and other products.
At the conference, 21 key trade project agreements were signed, focusing on bulk commodity trade, processing trade, foreign cooperation export, supply chain services, cross-border e-commerce cooperation and other fields.
