Yantai wine region wins intl gold awards

The Yantai wine region once again achieved outstanding results, winning a total of 11 gold awards at the 2024 Berlin Wine Trophy competition held in Berlin, Germany recently.

The Berlin Wine Trophy is one of the world's top five international wine competitions, organized by the German company DWM and jointly supervised by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine, the Union Internationale des Oenologues, and the International Association of Oenologists. It is one of the most rigorously regulated competitions in the world.

The competition is held twice a year, in winter and summer. In the winter edition of this year's Berlin Wine Trophy, nearly 9,000 wines from around the world participated, with nearly 300 wines from China. The panel of judges, comprising 200 professionals from various fields within the wine industry, including world-renowned wine masters, sommeliers, well-known wine merchants, and retailers, evaluated the wines.
